1 dead, 3 injured in Lagos building collapse
A building collapse in the Lekki area of Lagos State on Tuesday evening resulted in the death of one male adult and left three others injured.
The spokesperson for the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Shakiru Amodu, confirmed the incident in an exclusive interview with journalists.
The building, which was under construction, reportedly collapsed, trapping some workers at the site. Amodu stated that one person lost their life, while three others sustained varying degrees of injury.
“The incident occurred as reported. One person has died, and three others are injured,” he said.
Amodu also mentioned that an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the collapse. “The building was under construction when it fell. We are still working to identify the cause. An investigation is ongoing,” he added.
