106 Chibok Girls to resume school after reuniting with their Parents

Following their long-awaited reunion with their families and friends in their hometown, 106 Chibok girls will resume schooling in a fortnight.
Having completed a course of medical and psychological rehabilitation, the girls will commence a special foundation programme at American University of Nigeria in Yola, Adamawa State.
The special programme is the equivalent of a pre-degree course. The minister of women affairs and social development, Aisha Alhassan, made this disclosure at a send-off party organized in honour of the girls in Abuja on September 13.
She also said that negotiations are ongoing to secure the release the remaining 113 girls that are still in captivity.
In May, Boko Haram released a second batch of 82 girls, after releasing the first batch of 21 in October 2016 — following a series of negotiations with the government.
