Tenants overpower, subdue robbery suspect armed with toy gun

In a brave act of self-defense and protection of their community, residents in Olugboso, Agege, Lagos State, successfully thwarted a robbery attempt on August 20.

The suspect, who is yet to be identified, broke into Victor’s apartment late at night, wielding a toy gun and demanding valuables.

However, Victor quickly recognized that the gun was a fake and fearlessly confronted the assailant. During their struggle, the armed criminal resorted to stabbing Victor with a pair of scissors that he had concealed in his pocket. The sound of the altercation alerted nearby tenants, who rushed to the scene to provide assistance.

However, justice was swiftly served as other community members emerged from their homes and witnessed the scene unfold. Overwhelmed by their anger, they took matters into their own hands and subdued the suspect, delivering a firm beating.
