In a bid to foster development and improve livelihood within communities of Borno State, Hallmark Leadership Initiative has organised a dialogue session for the residents of Maiduguri.
Chairman of the occasion, Mallam Bulama Mali described the forum as an opportunity for stakeholders to bare their minds on issues affecting their community in order to arrive at an acceptable and workable solution.
The chairman noted with satisfaction, the peace building effort of hallmark leadership initiative which he says will help to restore normalcy in Borno and North East in general.
In her paper titled ” Poverty and Terrorism ” The Director, Youths Empowerment, State Ministry of Poverty Alleviation, Aisha Abdulrahman said Poverty plays a major role in terrorism.
Also speaking, the Director, Hallmark Leadership Initiative, Shettima Babakura Imam said the dialogue was organised to enable residents brainstorm on proper solutions to poverty which are sustainable.
The resource person at the occasion, Professor Mala Daura stressed the need for stakeholders to educate and enlighten the public on the significance of peace.
