Bukar Jimeta was a Hunter cum vigilante commander.

Though he was well known for his boldness and doggedness in dealing with Armed robbers and Boko Haram, there were some special things about the late Bukar Jimeta that people didn’t know.

In a telephone interview with some people from Gombi, hometown and where the remainings of Bukar was laid to rest, Malam Zaharraden Zubairu Gombi, Bobbo Soje and James Garkida revealed how the man lived his life.

“Bukar Jimeta was second in command to Sarkin Bakan Gombi,” said Zaharradden Gombi, “He’s well known for his doggedness and simplicity.”

“I saw him barely a day before he died. He was always in the midst of the old, young and children,” Bobbo Soje said.

“He succeeded in all the operations he led. We called him “Baka ja da baya” meaning “you never turn your back to your enemies,” Malam Zaradden added.

“I heard that the late human defender left behind more than 15 children, I hope and pray Government will support them,” said James Garkida.

Late Bukar Jimeta died during an operation against Boko Haram in Daku village of Madagali local government area. The village bordered Borno, Adamawa and Taraba Neptune prime learned.

The member representing Adamawa at the state assembly Alhaji Rufa’i Umar, was among people that attended the funeral prayers of late Bukar.
