Breaking: #NotTooYoungToRun bill wins majority vote in Senate


The #NotTooYoungToRun bill has scaled through to the next stage as the majority of Senators voted for it in the ongoing constitution review process.
The Nigerian Senate @NGRSente twitted on Wednesday that Bill 27: Reduction of Age for election got 86 Yes votes and 10 No votes, with 10 Abstain.
The Tweet said “#PromiseKept, #NotTooYoungToRun passed.”

Other parts of the constituion undergoing review include;
Bill 30: Deletion of Public Complain Act from CFRN, which got 90 Yes votes and two No votes, with one abstain.
Bill 29: Deletion of decree from CFRN Yes: 88 No: 3 Abstain: 0
Bill 28: Authorization of expenditure time frame for laying Appropriation bill, Passage etc Yes: 94 No: 0 Abstain:0.
Bill 24: Procedure for Overriding Presidential Veto in Constitutional Alteration Yes: 87 No: 4 Abstain: 0
