Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima has commended the Presidential Committee on the North-East Initiative (PCNI) for delivering humanitarian and developmental aid to the State.
He paid a visit to the headquarters of PCNI in Abuja to strengthen the collaboration between the organisation and Borno State.
Shettima commended PCNI for its coordination role especially in mobilizing stakeholders to deliver multi-sectoral solutions to the problems occasioned by the insurgency.

He restated the PCNI’s commitment to the rebuilding and resettlement efforts of not only Borno State but the entire North East. He also used the occasion to praise communities in Borno State for their resilience in the face of asymmetric security challenges and commended Governor Shettima for the state government’s efforts in rebuilding the state despite several challenges.
The Governor was accompanied by the Senator representing Borno South and member of PCNI, Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, the Borno State Commissioner for Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Resettlement, Prof Babagana Umara Zulum, and several other aides. The delegation was received by the Vice Chairman of the PCNI, Tijjani Tumsah.
