The Borno State Government has launched a Community and Social Development Programme with the view to address numerous challenges facing Youths skills acquisition, Education, Health and other relevant sectors.
The Governor of Borno State Kashim Shettima was represented by Deputy Governor Usman Durkwa at the ceremony.
The General Manager of the Borno State Community and Social Development, Hon Chiroma Usman while presenting his speech, said the programmes were funded by the World Bank through Borno State Community & Social Development Agency.
He said the initiative was supported by Governor Kashim Shettima having paid counterpart funding amounting to fifty Million Naira (N50m) so as to reach out developmental projects such as Education, health, Agriculture, Water and Sanitation, Skill acquisition & empowerment programmes, feeder roads etc to the communities in Borno State.
Neptune Prime learned that the proposed intervention is coming barely months when the State vowed to tackle Unemployment among youths in the State.
