Civil-Military relationship is one of the primary factors that enhance the war against insurgency in the North East.
This was observed by the Chief of Civil Military Relationship Affairs, Major General Nuhu Angbazo while responding to questions from joirnalists during a workshop on Civilian-Military Relationship in Maimalari Military Cantonment.
The Headquarters of the Army he said is impressed with the successes Seven Division is recording in its fight against insurgency.
The workshop was organised to create awareness via an interactive session to enable the troops know the global practice in operational zones.
“The Vision of the Chief of Army Staff is to have professional responsive Nigerian Army in the discharge of its constitutional rights, hence the workshop.”
“In order to boost the relationship between Army and Civilians, General Buratai established Military Civil relationship desk last year because of the importance of civilians in tackling insecurity.
“The Nigerian Army belongs to Citizens of Nigeria, we have constitutional role which is to defend the territorial integrity of Nigeria ” he explained.
General Nuhu further charged the troops in the North East to abide by the vision of the Chief of Army Staff.
Earlier, the Theater Commander, Operation Lafiya Dole, Major Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru represented by General Officer commanding seven division, Brig. Gen. Manu Yusuf said the interaction session will pave way to address numerous challenges facing civil-military relationship.
