Zamfara State Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mr Emmanuel Adeniyi has been kidnapped.
Adeniyi who was attached to the state police command in charge of Criminal Investigation Department (CID), was reported to have been kidnapped while driving along Dandume/Birnin Gwari road (Katsina/Kaduna) road by some unknown gunmen.
An officer attached to the state command of the CID who confirmed the incident disclosed that Mr Adeniyi was on his way back to Gusau before his abduction.
He added that the gunmen were yet to contact the family of Mr Adeniyi to request ransom.
Zamfara state commissioner of police Mr Shaba Alkali stated that the case would be investigated after receiving authentic details concerning the issue.
