Potiskum traditional medicine practitioners brainstorm on way forward, elect new officials

The National Association of traditional medicine practitioners, Potiskum chapter held a meeting to discuss how to run the association and issues bedeviling traditional medicine practice within and outside Potiskum.
The meeting was attended by several representatives from the different areas of traditional medicine, which include; hunters, native doctors, fisher men among others.
In a statement issued by the president of the association, Alhaji Adamu Talko Adamu disclosed that 13-man acting executive members whom will lead the association for three months had been inaugurated.
Mallam Adamu cautioned the members in discharging their duties as it is supposed to.
The Acting Chairman of the association, Gambo Caleb appreciated the mandate given to him and  his members and he embraced cooperation given by the members, he also added that his committee will start their task immediately.
The new chairman called on the members of the association to give them maximum support to enable them to achieve their goal, he urged each and every member of the association to register to get their identity cards. “if anyone caught without identity card will be penalize”.
“If anyone is caught without identity card he will be penalized”.
Mallam Gambo also lamented incidences where people lose their lives as a result of fake or abused traditional medicine and called on members to always seek guidance and support of other colleagues where they lack adequate knowledge of traditional medicine.
