Robbery, kidnapping, rustling displace villagers in Kaduna

Thousands of villagers have been displaced from their villages in Kaduna as a result of the intensification of the activities of armed robbers, cow rustlers and kidnappers and are now living in small camps in Rido and Kujama villages.
This was revealed by the Ardo Ahmadu Sulaiman, Chairman of the North-west Zone of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association while addressing newsmen, Thursday, on developments about the aftermath of attacks on Fulanis in Kajuru village in Kaduna.
He explained that the displaced persons are of various tribes including Gbagi, Kadara and Fulanis and are in serious need of assistance and healthcare services.

Ardo Ahmadu called on the government, private organizations and individuals to come to the aid of these displaced persons while he called on the authorities to do more on security of lives and property in the affected areas.
He thanked SEMA, NEMA, some private organizations, both religious and non-religious as well as individuals for the life-saving donations they gave the victims of attacks in Kajuru some weeks ago.
In a related development, the Kaduna State Police Command has paraded suspected criminals before newsmen registering the commitment of the force towards reducing crime to the barest minimum in the state.
The state police command spokesman, ASP Mukhtar Hussaini Aliyu said about 38 suspects were paraded and accused of various degrees of crimes including armed robbery, cow rustling and kidnapping with various type of dangerous weapons across the state.
In a statement issued to newsmen, the police advised parents and guardians to “caution their children against involving themselves in thuggery or gangsterism otherwise known as Sara-Suka as police will ensure that lives and properties are protected at all cost as well as public safety and public order are maintained.”
Aliyu called on the general public to continue to provide the police with useful information to curb out all forms of crimes from the state.
