Fire engulfs Abuja Suburb as youths clash on Christmas Day

As Nigerians were celebrating Christmas and the love of one another it teaches, youth in Bwari, a suburb of Abuja were fighting and destroying properties.
The suburb went up in flames with thick smoke engulfing the landscape as Hausa and Gbayi youths engaged one another in a free for all fight.

There has been tension in the town for a long time with two chiefs, Sarkin Hausawa and Etsu Gbayi, living side by side even the Sarkin Hausawa is the one recognized as paramount by the government.
Soldiers and Police officers have been drafted to the area as residents desert the area. Calm has returned as curfew of between 6pm and 6am has been imposed.
