The train leaving Kaduna for Abuja which was due to arrive at 4pm is right now stranded in Rijana, a town notorious for the spate of kidnappings being witnessed along Abuja-Kaduna road.
A lot of people, including the society’s highly placed, now prefer to undertake the relatively short journey from Kaduna to Abuja or vice versa by train because of its seeming safety and thus avoiding the kidnappers.

Stranded Passengers

The train, which has two heads (driver’s) compartment, left Rigasa, in Kaduna, at 2pm and was due to arrive Abuja at 4pm.
The first head with registration number CKD4B-034 had a break problem for the last three days and therefore it was not in use as it is yet to be fixed.
