The Emir of Fika and Chairman of Yobe State Council of Chiefs, His Royal Highness Dr Muhammad Ibn Abali Muhammad Idrissa, has conferred the title of Tiida of Fika on Professor Ibrahim Maina Waziri.
A statement signed by Alhaji Ali Gimba Fika, an assistant Secretary with the Fika Emirate Council, Potiskum, disclosed that the highly cerebral academic’s appointment is with immediate effect.
The immediate past Tiida, Ajiya Yerima Idriss (Idriss Maina Waziri), died on the 13th of January this year.
The Tiida is a title the Emir bestows on those whose fathers or grandfathers were Emirs of the Fika Emirate.
