NFF palava: Kaduna FA declares support for Pinnick's leadership

From Kanay Jubal, Abuja

Following the crisis rocking the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the Kaduna State Football Association (KSFA) has declared its support for the NFF under Amaju Pinnick.
The FA reached its decision on Saturday after its emergency and, according to its communiqué issued and signed by its chairman, Alhaji Shareeff Alkasim, who presided over the emergency meeting which was attended by the board members and zonal chairmen of the Local Football Council (LFC) in the state, their decision to stand by the leadership under Pinnick is “in line with the FIFA status which recognises the election that produced Amaju Pinnick.”
Also, the communiqué commended the support of the Federal Government to the NFF, particularly during the recently concluded world cup in Russia.
“The Kaduna State FA hereby wishes to declare its total support for the NFF leadership under Amaju Pinnick.
“We also support the composition of the electoral body to conduct election into the NFF and urge that nothing should stop the election as scheduled.”
The state FA, however, noted that the leadership crisis that has bedeviled the NFF is not a healthy one for football development in the country and called for all and sundry to engage in activities that will further develop football in the country.
Solomon Dalung-Minister-of-sports
It could be recalled that the Minister of the Federal Ministry of Sports and Youth Development Solomom Dalung only recently said he would abide by the judgment of the Supreme Court which ordered that Chris Giwa be instated as the authentic president of the football body.
That singular decision of the minister has continued to generate lots of controversies which FIFA was equally quoted not to be comfortable with.
On that note, also, the Kaduna State FA in her communiqué said its choice to stand by the NFF leadership under Pinnick and his executives is sacrosanct.
