Gov Tambuwal still in APC – Aide

Contrary to media reports indicating that governor Aminu Tambuwal has left the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), the governor still remains a member of the ruling party according to his media aide Malam Kabir Assada.
In a telephone chat with our correspondent, Assada noted that the governor is currently in France where he paid a working visit and is expected back into the country soon.
He debunked reports indicating that the governor has defected to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as false noting that the governor will address the issue when he comes back to the country.
“Governor Tambuwal did not defect to the PDP as being speculated. He is right now in France on a working visit. He will definitely make his stand known when he comes back from his journey,” Assada assured.
