Less than 24 hours after Saraki's exit, Tambuwal dumps APC

Another ranking member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and governor of Sokoto state, Aminu Tambuwal, has today left the ruling party for the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
The development is coming less than 24 hours after the senate president, Bukola Saraki left the party following irreconcilable differences.
Tambuwal who made the announcement via a tweet noted that, “I have consulted widely especially with the Sokoto people and they have confidently assured me of my next political move. I hereby defect officially to the @OfficialPDPNig. Power to the People.”
