Satumari got 956 votes to become the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP’s) senatorial candidate for Southern Borno.
The election was contested by two aspirants: Satumari Milnda Kudla and Major General Steven N Ngada Rtd.
The chairman of PDP in Askira-Uba, Peter Sabo, said Satumari got 956 votes while Steven got 8 votes and 7 were invalid.
He said the election was conducted in a free, fair and peaceful atmosphere.
