The Plateau Government has offered permanent appointments to 300 ad hoc staff of the Ministry of Lands, Survey and Town Planning.
The Chairman of Plateau State Civil Service Commission, Mr Dagug Fompun, said that the transition of the appointment of the 300 officers was in line with the vision of Governor Simon Lalong, which aimed at stimulating workers to give quality service delivery.
He said that the transition was aimed at filling the vacancies that were hitherto created by the death or retirement of officers in the ministry.
Besides, Fompun said that from January till date, the commission had recruited 66 non-teaching teaching staff for the ministry of education, 55 junior staff for the ministry of finance as well as 34 technical and junior staff for the ministry of housing.
He also said that 27 senior and junior staff had been recruited for the Plateau State Micro-finance Development Agency, while 20 senior and junior workers were recruited for the Bureau of Public Procurement.
