Dr A’eesha Humayrah Abaji hail from Obi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State in North Central Nigeria.
This year, Dr A’eesha, daughter of a modest Civil servant in Lafiya emerged the best student in Community Medicine, Haematology, Microbiology, Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Other subjects she emerged best in are Pharmacology, Biochemistry and Paediatrics.
Perhaps not to be seen as too greedy, out of the 12 subjects offered, she left three – Anatomy, Physiology and Surgery for the rest to scramble over.
Apart from receiving awards in these nine subjects, she capped it all with the award of Overall Best Student.
The 25 year old unassuming single, an embodiment of beauty and brains, attended Air Force Girls Comprehensive Secondary School, Jos, from where she gained admission into the Ahmadu Bello University Faculty of Medicine in 2011 for the six-year course, adding a year due to ASUU strike.
