Struggling Real Madrid have announced the reappointment of Zinedine Zidane as their manager, 10 months after his exit from the side.
Real board of directors met on Monday to terminate Santiago Solari’s contract with the first team as they offered him an opportunity to remain at the club.
The board agreed on the reappointment of Zidane with immediate effect for the remainder of the season and the next three campaigns, until 30 June 2022.
Real Madrid president is expected to address the media alongside Zidane at 8 pm (CET) on Monday night in the Santiago Bernabéu media room.
Real are currently third in La Liga, 12 points behind leaders Barcelona.
Solari was sacked after a 4-1 win over Real Valladolid on Sunday – which followed a shock Champions League exit to Ajax.
That 4-1 home defeat and 5-3 aggregate loss to the Dutch side was the final straw for Real president Florentino Perez.
