Yobe youths charged to embrace entrepreneurship

Youths have been tasked to embrace entrepreneurship and be self-reliant while calling on the state government in its youth entrepreneurial programs to include women and young girls. The call was made by the secretary of northern Nigerian women initiative Hajiya Fatima paga in an interview with journalists at the occasion on youth entrepreneurial conference which was organized by Zudam entertainment at the art and cultural center in Damaturu yesterday. 

In his address of welcome, the chief executive officer of Zudam entertainment Mohd Maina Mohd calls on the youths in the state to explore entrepreneurship and partner with his organization and acquire training. The CEO maintains that his organization is loyal to the state government and its policies and pledge on behalf of the youths for the state government to relax its suspension of social activities.

 With the theme: uplifting Yobe youth beyond boundaries through entrepreneurship. Paper presentations were delivered by  Dr Kagu (Matawallen Machina) on the topic YOUTH AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP FOR SELF RELIANCE which dwelt extensively on how to be a successful entrepreneur.

The second interesting paper was presented by Dr Hadiza Mali WOMEN AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN RELIGIOUS AND CULTURAL ENVIRONMENT which dwelt so much on challenges faced by women as entrepreneurs in northern Nigeria and possible ways to make it successful.

Malam Aliyu Bade equally took the audience through THE ROLE OF TECHNOLOGY IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP.exploring the websites and internet to market your products beyond your location and for buyers to easily access your products.

Dr. Mohammed Machina equally took the audience through a session on the topic HOW TO BE SUCCESSFUL BEFORE THE AGE OF 50.the topic dwelt on awakening the senses of youth on utilizing their productive age.

Dr Habu Adam Bayaye took us through the topic CHANGING THE YOUTH PERCEPTION FROM EMPLOYEE TO EMPLOYER ., SEEKERS TO CREATORS. And Dr Babagana Kundi Machina presented a paper on  MEDICAL TOURISM IN YOBE STATE AS A SOURCE OF REVENUE GENERATION.he dwelt extensively on blocking leakages in hospitals and taking the sector to the next level by going digital in hospital records and keying into health insurance policies as well as exploring the public-private partnership.

Two-panel discussions featured HOW TO GROW YOUR BUSINESS FROM GRASS TO GRACE, WOMEN AND YOUTH PERSPECTIVE. the second  joint session    ENTREPRENEURSHIP FOR SELF RELIANCE  LEGAL, SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC PERCEPTION AS WELL AS CHANGING  THE YOUTH MINDSET FROM SALARY ORIENTED TO BUSINESS MINDS.questions and answers featured at the occasion

Two awards were presented to the Shettima Kanuribe of Fika Alhaji Bature Goniri  as well as Abdulkadir Jajere .
