Gov El-Rufai appoints Atoyebi, 7 other new aides

Saude Amina Atoyebi has been appointed Kaduna State focal person for Social Investments. This was confirmed in a statement authored by Governor Nasir El-Rufai yesterday.

Governor El-Rufai said Atoyebi worked with him in 2012, as a researcher prior to her appointment in 2015 as Personal Secretary and Senior Special Assistant, Administration.

Her appointment will augment the effort of the Federal Government in reducing levels of poverty and socio-economic vulnerability currently plaguing the country, through National Social Investment Programmes (NISP) such as; the National Home Grown School Feeding Programme, National Cash Transfer Programme, N-power and the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme established by the National Social Investment Office.

Atoyebi, a graduate of Economics from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, close to her Wusasa roots, also possesses a masters degree in Advertising and Marketing from Coventry University, United Kingdom. She also attended the Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education Programme on Adaptive Leadership and the Agha Khan University’s Voice of Leadership programme.

Seven other aides who were also appointed by El-Rufai yesterday includes; Ahmed Maiyaki, the spokesman of former Gov. Mukhtar Ramalan-Yero among others.

According to Muyiwa Adekeye, Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Communication, Maiyaki is now Senior Special Assistant (SSA) Community Relations.

Others were Umar Yaro, Special Assistant, Social Investment Programme; Mubarak Abdulkadir, Special Assistant, ICT; Rebecca Padonu, Special Assistant, Social Investment Programme, and Adamu Abubakar, Special Assistant, Economic Matters.
