BREAKING: Boko Haram attacks Damaturu, NAF jets to the rescue

Members of the Boko Haram terrorist group has attacked Damaturu, the Yobe State capital at about 4.55 pm local time today.

A resident of Damaturu, Malama Fatsuma Dada who spoke to Neptune Prime said residents of Government Secondary School, Damaturu and residents leaving along Gashua Road had to run into town as a result of the attack.

It is believed that the terrorists came to Damaturu through Sasawa and Damniya which are on a forest belt that connects to northern Borno where the boko Haram terrorists have turned into a base.

Malam Muhammadu Ahmed, another resident, disclosed to our reporter that two fighter jets from the Nigeria Airforce had to be scrambled to come to the defence of the town. BREAKING:
