NEMA, SEMA donate relief materials to victims of Gashua market fire

The National emergency agency (NEMA) and Yobe state emergency management agency (SEMA) distribute relief materials to the victims of the Gashua local government potash market fire disaster.

The potash market was engulfed down by fire on Saturday, it destroys tonnes of potash and millions of naira in the market.  

The two agencies collaborated and donated relief materials to the victims of the Gashua market fire disaster.

In his remark, NEMA Director-General, Engr Mustapha Mai-Haja, said the purpose of this exercise is to provide a softer pillow to the traders affected by the fire outbreak. The materials his agency donated included 600 bags of cement, 300 bundles of zinc and 600 pieces of ceiling board.

The Executive Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency Dr. Mohammed Goje urged a coordinated joint effort from the leadership of the market so that to asses the damages of both the goods and the market structures.
