A 50-year old Lagos based traditional medicine practitioner, Felix Okon alleged to have raped his daughters after feeding them with alcohol was on Wednesday remanded in the Kirikiri Correctional Service by a Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.
The court gave the order for his remand pending legal advice.
Chief Magistrate P.E. Nwaka, who did not take the plea of Okon ordered that the case file be returned to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for legal advice.
Nwaka adjourned the case until March 18 for mention.
Okon, who resides at Plot 154, Road, 11 Federal Gowon Estate, Lagos State, is charged with Rape.
Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel, Insp. Christopher John told the court that Okn committed the offence in August 2019, at his residence.
According to John, Okon allegedly fed his two daughters, aged 16 and 14 with alcohol before defiling them.
He added that the matter was reported at the police station and the defendant was arrested.
John said the offence contravened the provisions of Section 260 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
