He is a retired Army brigadier from the Afghan Army, he graduated from the Royal Military Academy in the UK in 1958, and served Afghanistan until 1990.
He lost 2 sons during the Afghan civil war in 1992-1996, and a 3rd son last year to a suicide bomber.
Currently, he lives in Kandahar alone with his wife and his daughter in law, which he is supporting. He doesn’t accept charity or hand outs.
At the age of 88, he works hard to support his small family of 3. This is called living with Dignity and Honor.

His country has failed rather, a former general should be respected enough to be given welfare by the state. Quite sad and pathetic.
