APC National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, said he will support the APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Committee to succeed in building a strong APC for democracy to thrive in Nigeria.
The Director-General, Press Affairs and Media to Yobe State Governor, Mamman Mohammed who made a statement on Friday addressing the outcome of the consultative meeting held with the Chairman of the Committee, Governor Mai Mala Buni, committee members, and chieftains of the party, affirmed the backing of the national leader, expecting the caretaker committee to succeed.
Tinubu also debunked insinuations that the committee was on a reconciliatory visit saying, “there is no rift between us, what we have is a consultation visit.”
Governor Buni commended Asiwaju for the counselling, fruitful consultations and commitment to the party.
He assured that the committee would continue with the process of consultation to improve the fortunes of the party.
Some governors who attended the meeting were Governors Abubakar Sani Bello Niger state, Abubakar Bagudu Kebbi state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu Lagos state and National Secretary of the party Senator John Akpan.
