Arsenal to use top striker in swap deal to sign Partey

Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta is said to be ready to sanction a move that will see Alexandre Lacazette leave Arsenal in a swap deal that will see Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Partey join the Gunners.

Arsenal has had a long-standing interest in Thomas Partey, and the player himself is believed to be interested in joining the premier league side.

However, shortage of money has been a major factor hindering Arsenal from landing their man, but newsmen understand Arsenal could use Lacazette in a swap deal for their top target, Partey.

According to L’Equipe, Atletico Madrid is also open to signing Lacazette in part-exchange for Party.

Lacazette, who is 29, has two more years left on his current contract with the Gunners, but youngster, Eddie Nketiah seems to be putting Lacazette on his toes with some of his brilliant performances and manager, Mikel Arteta is interested in giving him more game time.

Apart from extending Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s deal, Arsenal is also said to be in the market for midfield reinforcements.
