Police capture 10 robbery suspects, 33 kidnappers in assets of human part

Reports rolling in from the Yola axis of Adamawa State have it that the Gallant officers and men of anti-kidnapping unit/SIB and some expert hunters have prevailed and dislodged some crooks hibernating in communities of Maiha, Fofure, Yola North and Mubi North Local Government Areas of Adamawa State.

This was disclosed by the Commissioner of Police, Mr Olugbenga Adeyanju while parading 33 suspected kidnappers, 10 robbery suspects (Shila Boys), 2 cult members for committing various crimes, and 16 for inciting communal clash in the state.

According to him, recoveries so far made by the police from 1st July to date are one human part (eye), one Toyota vehicle with Reg NO.RBH186AA, 10 carriages, N58,420 000 and one Tricycle.

Others are five AK 47 rifles, two single barrel guns, one G3 rifle, one revolver pistol, one Toyota Corolla, one tricycle, 328 rounds of live ammunition, 47 rounds of live ammunition of G3 Rifle, 5 live ammunition of revolver pistol and ten cartridges.

He said men of his command succeeded in arresting the syndicate members of the kidnapping gang after they kidnapped and collected ransoms of about N5, 400,000.

The Commissioner Said, “They confessed to have kidnapped one Ali Hassan Digital from Mubi North; Nana Hafizu of Maiha; Ya’u Dande of Song LGA.
