School Reopening: Ogun State Govt directs September 21

The Ogun State Government has announced that schools will re-open on September 21, 2020, in the state.
This was disclosed on Monday in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the state Governor, Kunle Somorin.
According to the statement, reopening of nursery schools pupils from three to five years of age is scheduled for the next phase of schools re-opening.
It further stated primary one to primary three pupils will resume three hours daily from Monday to Friday between 8.00 am and 11.00 am while primary four to primary six pupils will resume at 12.00 noon and close at 3.00 pm.
Also, Junior Secondary School students one to three would learn between 8.00 am and 11.00 am while Senior Secondary school students one to three would be in schools between 12.00 noon and 3.00 pm.
“The second phase of the reopening of schools is extended to all classes in primary and secondary schools, Technical and Vocational College and Tertiary Institutions.
“Technical and Vocational will operate their normal school hours of 8.00 am to 2.00 pm, early child care development and education classes three to five years of age (nursery classes) will not be resuming in public schools until the next phase of schools’ re-opening,” it stated.
