His Excellency the Executive Governor of Yobe State, Hon Mai Mala Buni, has approved the reopening of schools for October 12th for the new academic session.
In a statement released by the Director Press affairs to the Governor, Alhaji Mamman Mohammed, the decision is as a result of serious deliberations between the Ministry of Education, Office of the secretary to the state government, SUBEB and other stakeholders in Damaturu.
Schools in the state have remained shut since March after the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
