Engineer Mohammed Kati Machina, Marafan Machina a retired permanent secretary, has lauded the efforts of the Executive Governor of Yobe State, Honourable Mai Mala Buni in his selection for political appointments on the basis of merit.
The veteran senior civil servant with experience of over forty years commended the governor for doing the correct thing by appointing a professional to head the ministry of health without any primodal sentiment after Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria Medical Education Committee considered the report of the verification team to Yobe state health directorate (YSSH Dtr).
Engineer Mohammed Kati Machina, who is the Chairman, Governing Council College of Management & Technology (CAMTECH) Potiskum, also congratulated the Health Sector in Yobe State admitting that his involvement with the sector has made him proud when discussing the Nigerian Health landscape.
He said ‘The commissioner for health and his team should continue with the laudable achievements in all sectors and Yobe State and indeed Nigeria will be the better for it.’
In a related development, a report has been sent to the governor recommending the Yobe State Teaching Hospital to be allowed to train 28 House Officers for 4 years which the state executive council has unanimously approved.
The committee also noted that the Damaturu Teaching Hospital has rectified the deficiencies observed in the last visit and has also had gone extra miles to improve in some areas that were not listed as deficiencies.
With over forty years of experience in agricultural mechanization and extension, Engineer Mohammed is a volunteer officer and North-East Zonal Co-ordinator, National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA).
