A man identified as Kabiru was arrested on Friday at the National Assembly complex after CCTV footages revealed his criminal act at the office of a member of House of Representatives.
The footages revealed that Kabiru sneaked into the office of the lawmaker with a master key at about 2:30 pm and made away with some US dollar notes and valuable office items including computers, photocopying machines, and printer.
After due analysis of the footages of the theft which took place on the fourth floor of the complex and identification by security operatives there, he was tracked down and arrested.
Reports have it that Kabiru is an SA to a lawmaker from Adamawa State and is known by many in the complex.
This incident is happening barely a week after the office of Honourable Ali Datti Yaku, representing Bebeji Constituency of Kano State, located on the third floor of the complex was burgled by unknown persons who made away with valuable items.
