Uncertainty concerning the next emir of Zazzau has continued to increase after reports emerged that there are plans by governor Nasiru El-rufai to create additional emirates out of Zazzau.
This is coming after the governor in suspectable moves exhausted all efforts to convince the kingmakers to recommend his ally Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli as a possible successor of the late emir of Zazzau Shehu Idris.
Already, a draft bill for the amendment of Emirates and Chieftaincy bill is being prepared for onward submission to the State Assembly for amendment.
The Emirates are Kaduna, Zaria and Kudan.
If the bill is assented to, Magajin Garin Zazzau would be the Emir of Kaduna, while Yarima would likely be in Zaria and Iya Aminu at Kudan.
