A Nigerian man identified as Usman Umar Dagona, an indigene of Yobe State has won $400,000 after coming second at World Chemistry competition.
He did well to beat tough competition to finish second.
The young man who is an indigene of Gashua town in Yobe State represented the West African country at the World Chemistry competition.
Umar Usman Dagon took part in the World Imagine Chemistry Akzo Novel competition 2021 at Delf City, The Netherlands and made it to the top five that appeared in the final round.
He eventually made it to the second position, winning the sum of 400,000 dollars.
Sharing the info on Twitter, the user wrote;
“Yobe indigene, Umar Dagona that represented Nigeria at World Chemistry competition becomes SECOND Position and wins $400,000 after beating other candidates from many countries”.
Dagona has NCE in Chemistry Education from Yobe State Umar Suleiman College of Education in Gashua town.
