Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, and Justin Bieber were among the big winners at the American Music Awards 2020, which was aired live from the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles.
Hosted by Taraji P. Henson, the show featured performances from the likes of Justin Bieber, Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, Megan Thee Stallion, The Weeknd, BTS and more, broadcasted from both Los Angeles and locations around the world.
Taylor Swift took home the top prize of the evening, Artist of The Year, as well as Favourite Music Video for ‘Cardigan’; Favourite Female Artist – Pop/Rock; and Favourite Album – Pop/Rock for folklore.

The Weeknd, who had eight nominations, won Favourite Male Artist – Soul/R&B; Favourite Album – Soul/R&B for After Hours; and Favourite Song – Soul/R&B for ‘Heartless’. He performed on the night and accepted his awards with his face wrapped up in bandages – in line with the aesthetic of his latest album.
Justin Bieber, who opened the show with a performance of his new single ‘Monster’ with Shawn Mendes, won both Collaboration of the Year and Favourite Song – Country for ‘10,000 Hours’ with Dan + Shay, as well as Favourite Male Artist – Pop/Rock.
