Bauchi State supplementary budget passed into law, Gov’t to dualize 3 major roads

Bauchi State Government has disclosed plans to dualize three major roads in the state capital and construct six others in the three senatorial zones of the state.

The state Governor Bala Mohammed made the disclosure Monday while signing the 2020 supplementary budget passed into law by the state house of assembly.

He said the roads to be dualized include the one from the international airport to the state capital, Adamu Jumba to GRA road, and another one from Awalah to the Bauchi state university Yuli with street lights.

Aside from that, Bala stated that two new roads will be built in Bogoro town to Lusar, Boi to Tampshin in the Bauchi south, two in Bauchi north, and two others in the central zone.

The roads he explained are meant to open the horizon of Bauchi state assuring that the roads will be completed within the timeline of his administration.

Earlier, the speaker of the state assembly Abubakar Suleiman explained that the supplementary budget sent to the assembly by the governor was worth N44 billion out of which N36 billion was earmarked for capital projects and N8 billion set aside for recurrent expenditures.
