Lady Gaga has been tapped to act with Brad Pitt in the upcoming hitman movie Bullet Train, based on a Japanese mystery novel.
The 34-year-old singer got the best actress Oscar nomination for her 2018 remake of A Star Is Born directed by its leading man Bradley Cooper.
Now the blonde bombshell is returning to the silver screen to be directed by David Leitch, Collider revealed this Thursday.
Gaga’s casting went public one day after The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that two-time Oscar nominee Michael Shannon will be in the film.

Heroes actor Masi Oka, who was born in Tokyo where the bullet train in the novel departs from was revealed by Deadline to be in the cast.
Only last week Variety dished that Atlanta star Zazie Beetz, whom David Leitch directed in Deadpool 2, was part of the ensemble.
Bullet Train is an adaptation of the novel Maria Beetle by Kotaro Isaka and the movie will apparently retain the book’s Japanese setting.
As its title suggests the movie is set on a bullet train that happens to play host to five contract killers with mysteriously interlocking objectives.
Although Brad is playing a hitman with the nickname Ladybug it is not yet known who Gaga’s character is, though a Collider source said she is not a lead.
Brad’s casting was confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter in early July, the month after it emerged that David Leitch is helming the feature.
A month later The Hollywood Reporter said Joey King of The Kissing Booth fame was ‘in talks’ for a role, which People said was one of the assassins.
In September Deadline reported that Andrew Koji, who stars on Warrior and the upcoming superhero movie Snake Eyes, had been cast.
By last month Godzilla hunk Aaron Taylor Johnson, who starred with Michael Shannon in Nocturnal Animals, was on board the project according to Variety.
David’s first directorial effort was the hitman drama John Wick and he has stuck to action movies ever since including Atomic Blonde and Hobbs And Shaw.
Before becoming a director he was a stuntman and was Brad’s double on Fight Club, Spy Game, Ocean’s Eleven, Troy and Mr And Mrs Smith.
