A lawyer whose name was disclosed as Tammy Ibikiberebima and a few area boys beat up kidnappers, who came to abduct him to pulp in Port Harcourt.
Tammy Ibikiberebima who was at the Port Harcourt Refinery at the time was ordered by the kidnappers to enter their vehicle quietly.
However, surprising them, the lawyer, who is very popular in the neighbourhood, decided to take his chances and went for the gun of one of them while calling out for help.

While he was struggling with one of the kidnappers, a round was fired and boys in the neighbourhood came rushing to the location.
The kidnappers hurriedly got into their vehicle and sped off.
He also jumped into his Toyota Hilux in the company of some of the boys and chased them until they were able to apprehend them. The boys were beaten to a pulp before being handed over to the police.

“If you come out of this van eh, you go die, so na dem carry the AK come, yes na see am for him hand. Oga you too much, na God dey by your side eh, God will continue to strengthen you. See gun wey them carry come to kidnap am.
“God bless you na God give you the strength, you don’t know the lives you have saved this December because if they are successful with this they will still continue, you have saved lots of lives.
