Traders on Thursday lost their source of livelihood in another inferno recorded at the Gwarinpa Tipper Garage Market in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The incident was described as the worst market fire ever recorded in Gwarimpa as no shop was spared.

Security officials at the market told newsmen that the fire started at about 1:30 a.m. and lasted for several hours.
While some reports claimed that six people were killed in the fire, a legal representative of the market, Umar Abdulhameed, told newsmen that he could only confirm one casualty.
The incident is the second market fire to be reported in Gwarinpa in 2021.
Meanwhile, the Minister of State for FCT, Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, had visited the scene of the fire incident to assess the damage.
Aliyu said the Federal Capital Territory Administration would try its best to compensate traders who incurred losses in the inferno.
The Minister, however, lamented the level of congestion in the market, which she said prevented fire servicemen from gaining access to the market to rescue the situation.
