In an interview conducted with some students of the university, they expressed sadness over the lack of electricity and the scarcity of water in the school.

Muhammad Sulaiman, a 100- level student of the Department of Physical and Health Education said, lack of electricity and scarcity of water has been the major holdup in the school. He added that they are finding it difficult to read because they spend most of their time just charging their phones wherever they could.

Also, another 300- level student of the Department of General Agriculture, said the management of the University of Maiduguri should try everything humanly possible in providing a stable power supply to the residents of the University. He also urged the Borno State Government to repair the electricity for the betterment of people residing in Maiduguri and its environs.

To provide electricity to students, the Students’ Union Government said adequate measures are being put in place to handle the situation.
