Another Nigerian, this time kid comedienne, Emmanuella Samuel, is excelling on the international scene. Emmanuella Samuel, popularly known as Emmanuella, won the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2021 in the ‘Favorite African Social Media Star’ category.
Nominated alongside Nigerian comedy group – Ikorodu Bois, South African Magician – Wian Van Den Berg; Ugandan Youth Dance Group – Ghetto Kids, Kenyan social media sensation – Elsa Majimbo, and South African media personality – Bonang Matheba, she emerged the winner by public voting.

The Ikorodu Bois, made up of three brothers (Babatunde Sanni, 23, Muiz Sanni, 16, Malik Sanni, 10; and their cousin, Fawas Aina, 13), are popular for remaking popular videos, earning global attention from international brands such as Mercedes Benz and Ellen DeGeneres.
