A 52-year-old Nigerian man has been charged with two felony counts of criminal sexual conduct after he was reportedly caught sexually assaulting an 83-year-old woman, who has Alzheimer’s disease in the US.

The man identified as Olabamidele Olumide Bewaji, who is a Minnesota senior home employee was caught in the act when the woman’s son checked in on her via webcam on Monday night, according to reports.

Newsmen while citing a court complaint, reports that the son said he remotely witnessed Bewaji caress and undress his mother before sexually assaulting her twice in her room at the Pillars of Mankato senior living home.

He told investigators that he used a speaker on the camera to demand Bewaji stop, according to the complaint. Bewaji eventually stopped, but the son noted he did so slowly.

When the police arrived at the scene after the victim’s son called on them, they found the woman partially dressed and said she was confused as to what had happened to her.

According to reports, Bewaji initially denied the sexual assault but later admitted to the offence after learning that investigators would conduct a search warrant.

Bewaji also confessed to the police that he had s*x with the woman February and understood that she was a vulnerable adult.

He claimed that the old lady had initiated the sexual acts.
