Gov. Yahaya disagrees with Southern govs over ban on open grazing

The Gombe state government has commenced the distribution of the second stage of its palliatives to communities and residents affected by the COVID-19 hardship in the state.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya stated this while declaring the warehouse opened for palliatives distribution in the Dukku local government area of the state. He further stated that the government is targeting over 55,000 households across ten local government areas of the state.

He added that the packages will include a 10kg bag of rice, sugar, maize, noodles, and a carton of macaroni; that a total of 2, 998 households would benefit from relief materials in each polling unit of distribution.

He, however, did not disclose the resident’s houses that were selected for the benefits in the state.

Yahaya also revealed that his government will continue to create programs and initiatives that will not only bring the people together but create opportunity as well.

“We are aware of the pillars of democracy which is a government of the people for the people,” he said.
