Murjanatu Katsina, Northern Nigeria’s first female radio broadcaster is dead

The first female Northern Nigerian radio broadcaster, Haj Murjanatu Katsina has passed on. She died in Dutsin-ma, Katsina State on Wednesday.

Haj Murjanatu Katsina was a Hausa language broadcaster at Deutsche Weller (DW) formerly known as Voice of Germany.

She was the only woman in the Kaduna State House of Assembly between 1979-1983.

She was also a role model of self-determination as she was able to rise to the top by sheer hard work and determination despite all the obstacles women face.
