An unusual ransom demand has set a family of five, who were abducted on Monday in Kogi State, free. The kidnappers, who had initially demanded an N10 million ransom, was reported to have collected suya, drinks, wine, and other valuables before releasing them.

It is not yet confirmed if any money was paid as ransom, however, according to a close source, the kidnappers only demanded cooked meal, wine, suya and other things as part of conditions for their release.
The victims, Olisa Ibrahim, his wife and three children regained freedom and are now returned to their home in Ajowa Akoko, Ondo State.
