Unknown gunmen kill 2 Miyetti Allah leaders in Nasarawa

The Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association in Nasarawa State, Alhaji Mohammed Hussain, has been shot dead by unknown gunmen on Friday night, in Toto Local Government Area of the State.

Hussain was killed  alongside his counterpart, Mohammed Umar in Garaku, Kokona LGA of the state.

The incident was confirmed in a statement issued on Saturday morning by the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, Ramham Nansel.

The statement read: “On 2/4/2021 at about 7pm, information was received that unknown gunmen suspected to be Fulani bandits attacked and killed one Mohammed Hussaini, the Chairman, Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, Nasarawa State and Mohammed Umar, the Chairman, Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, Toto LGA at Garaku market.

“Upon receipt of the information, the Commissioner of Police, CP Bola Longe swiftly deployed Operation Puff Adder II personnel to the scene where the two corpses were recovered and taken to the hospital.”

According to reports, the bodies of the deceased have been deposited in Anthony Memorial Mortuary, Garaku, Kokona Local Governnent of the state.

The PPRO condoled with the families of the deceased and assured that the culprits must be brought to book to face justice.

He also called on people with useful information not to hesitate as it will be treated with utmost confidentiality.
