Stroy from Najib SANI, Bauchi
Plans are underway by the Bauchi State Government to relocate the Bauchi College of Agriculture from the state capital to Dass Local Government Area (LGA), of the state.
This was disclosed Tuesday by the Special adviser to Governor Bala Mohammed on civil service, Mr Abdon Dalla Gin, when a political group known as ‘Dass Unity Support Forum for Kaura’ visited him in his office.
He said if the college is transferred to the Local Government, it would boost farming in the area and bring a lot of investments and development to the place.
Gin said the governor is currently reconstructing the Dass general hospital and would award some road projects in the area despite the fact that PDP did not win an election in the local government.
Earlier, the chairman of the forum, Mr Gideon Bawa, who led other group members during the visit said that the entire people of Dass LG are deeply touched and convinced with the developmental projects being executed by Bala’s government in the LG.
He particularly hailed the governor for building a housing estate in the area and renovating mosques and churches.
Gideon said that the objective of the forum is to mobilise and enlighten people on the activities of Governor Bala Mohammed and canvass support for him ahead of the 2023 governorship election so that he can continue with the good job he has started.
